Industrial floor solutions

General solutions for industrial floors, hard floors including: how to choose the right type of floor for the purpose of use, the same construction method, how to maintain - repair, periodic cleaning care instructions, things to do. need attention… The leading industrial flooring solutions such as: concrete floors, synthetic resin floors (Epoxy, Polyurethane - PU), load-bearing tiling floors, etc. Full details in the content of the article below.

1. Why Use Industrial Flooring? The unique features and values of industrial flooring bring to their users.

1.1. Industrial floor concept The term industrial floor refers to monolithic concrete floors used in the industrial sector; Traditional industrial concrete flooring offers some features such as durability and resistance to abrasion, traffic and heavy loads, but its aesthetic is not appealing.

1.2. Features Resistant to physical impacts – Abrasion by moving utensils and equipment – Vibration due to machine operation – Large load of vehicles in the factory - Antistatic Resistant to chemical effects Affected by chemicals (including acids, bases, solvents, ...) - Oil and grease for machinery - Detergents and cleaners Good heat resistance – High temperatures in manufacturing and metallurgical plants – Cold temperature of cold storages, warehouses Security - Avoid slippery - Heat resistance, fire resistance - Does not produce harmful chemicals when used (non-VOC) High aesthetics - Flatness – The overall texture is seamless - Various designs and colors Ability to maintain maintenance - Easy to clean - Antibacterial, anti-mildew - Quick construction and easy maintenance - repair Depending on the working field of each industry, there will be separate technical requirements for each type of floor, but in general, the purpose of industrial flooring is to overcome the disadvantages of concrete floors with features. like

2. Texture Of Industrial Floor Design characteristics of industrial floors, in accordance with the technical requirements and meet the necessary features Depending on the intended use, the industrial floor system is divided into many different types (more details in the following section) to best suit the needs of each customer. Basically, the industrial floor structure is divided into three main parts, each part will have its own functions that merge together to create a complete industrial floor system.

2.1. Base layer Is the bottom layer of a flooring system. As the foundation for the construction and design of different types of floors. The fact that we prepare a good substrate is an essential element to create a quality and long-lasting flooring system. 2.2. Priming The main purpose of this section is the connection layer between the substrate and the coating, creating a strong bond between these two components. In addition, at this layer is also the place where humidity control, and waterproofing for industrial flooring systems are performed.

2.3. Finish coating This is the finish on the surface, which is directly affected by the working environment. Therefore, to meet the requirements of the floor, it can be composed of different substances: Epoxy, PU, PU - Cement, concrete, etc.

3. Where is Industrial Flooring Applied? Industrial flooring is the leading solution because of its outstanding advantages, used in almost every different working environment such as: Food and beverage factory Electronic equipment factory, static electricity Garage, station, train side School, hospital, office Warehouse, transportation area Shopping malls, retail stores

4. Types of industrial flooring

4.1. Epoxy floor The simplest definition of epoxy flooring suggests a floor surface consisting of multiple layers of epoxy coated onto the floor with a thickness of at least 2mm. There will often be similarities between epoxy floors and epoxy floor coatings. The difference between the two lies in the thickness of the epoxy layer. As stated, epoxy floors are classified as epoxy coatings that are at least 2mm thick. Any epoxy floor less than 2mm thick is commonly referred to as an epoxy floor coating. Epoxy is a single-line polymeric material composed of two components: Epoxy resin, colorants, solvents and some other additives The curing agent helps to bind the epoxy molecules together. The original epoxy exists in liquid form and is converted to a solid polymer by a chemical reaction. Epoxy-based polymers are very mechanically strong, resistant to chemical corrosion when in solid form (floor when finished) and have high adhesion in the transition from liquid to solid (when floor construction). ). There are many types of basic epoxy chemicals that can be customized to create an epoxy system with specific properties such as: electrostatic floor, antibacterial floor, heat-resistant or impact-resistant and wear-resistant, ... depending on what the user wants to achieve.

4.2. Polyurethane Flooring (PU Flooring) PU paint English means Polyurethane, a polymer that has many applications in life. With the ability to create a flat surface with an arbitrary thickness according to the operator (usually from 3mm - 6mm), maximize the function that this paint line brings to the customers.
